Simian Mobile Disco have announced the follow-up to their 2010 album Delicacies.

Titled ‘Unpatterns‘ the new album will be out on May 14 through Wichita Recordings.

‘Seraphim‘ will be the first single from the album, and is due for release on April 9, before the band head out on an international tour.

‘Rella’ will be featured as a track on OFWGKTA‘s upcoming album ‘OF Tape Vol.2′, which is due for release on March 3.

Public Image Ltd. have announced they are to reelease a new EP and studio album this year.

Frontman John Lydon and co will release the new EP on April 21 to coincide with this year’s Record Store Day.

Their new album is set to be released on May 28, and will be titled  ‘This Is PiL‘.

Santigold’s latest online leak is belived to be from her forthcoming album ‘Master Of My Make-Believe’.

The song will be released as part of a five track EP on April 8, and feature remixes from Switch and The 2 Bears.

Santigold’s new album will be released on May 1.

Digital formats now account for 35.4% of record industry trade income in the U.K, after digital sales in the UK music industry rose 24.7% to £281.6 million from £225.8 million in 2010.

In total that is an 8% rise on the previous year.

The growth is largely attributed to a 43.2% rise in digital album sales, which totalled £117.8 million, while revenue  from track downloads rose  11.3% to £120.5 million.

In addition to digital sales figures, subscription services  saw  growth in revenue with a 47.5% increase from £16.3 million in 2010 to £24 million in 2011.

However, total recorded music trade revenue dropped from £823.8 million  in 2010 to £795.4 million in 2011, representing the 3.4% fall.

Income from physical formats, including albums, singles and music videos, fell 14.1%, with revenues dropping for the eighth consecutive year to £513.8 million.

Physical album sales fell 14.4% to £484.7 million, from £566.4 millionin 2010.

The Drums newsingle ‘Days’ will be released on February 27.
